Please remember that students should be reading in French at home each evening for no less than 20 minutes. This is above and beyond assigned homework. While we are waiting for the Stubbs Library to open up, here are some suggestions for getting French reading materials:

  • Visit one of the Victoria Public Library sites (they carry a large variety of French books);
  • Have your student show you the www.tv5.org website, there are online French videos and activities that can be accessed here;
  • Have your student watch ‘Radio-Canada’ (French CBC) or some other French programming on TV;
  • Watch a movie, en français (most DVD’s can be played in French);
  • Visit Munro’s books on Government Street (across from the Bay). They have a variety of French books in the very back of the children’s section at the back of the store.
